If you’ve never taken your family in your Nissan to the Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia, why wait any longer? This landmark has been in operation for over three decades, and is more exciting than ever at its new home in Fairmount Park.
Before you even enter the Please Touch Museum, you can start the fun by riding the 1908 Woodside Park Dentzel Carousel. This carousel was originally built to be used in an amusement park that was just ten blocks from the Museum’s location.
The carousel is just the beginning of the experience, however. Every corner of the museum has something interesting for both kids and adults. You’ll find all sorts of activities, some of which are just fun and most of which are educational. You can play croquet with the Queen from Alice in Wonderland, or you can drink a cup of tea along with the Mad Hatter.
You can steer a bus, and sail a boat. You can find animals hidden in the grasses, visit a lily pond and listen to nursery rhymes. In addition, there are live performances each day at the Please Touch Playhouse.
